In particles physics, the photon is the element of the electromagnetic interaction. In other words, when two electrically charged particles interact, this interaction is translated from a quantum point of view like an exchange of photons. In the current design of the light, the electromagnetic waves, radio waves with the gamma rays while passing by the visible light, all consist of photons.
