Dinah Bird

Fallen sick and obliged to remain in bed whereas it is litterature student in London, Dinah Nuttal falls in love with its radio. Subjugated by this medium she decides to be devoted to it and forms today part of the rising generation of sound creators and radiophonic experimenters. Dinahbird is a radio independent artist. Her works, which can be described as "plundersonics" are inspired by sonorities of her environment and the people who surround her. The result is an assembly of personal interviews, sounds found or plundered and then handled. Never far from its DAT, she records with a very large variety of microphones and never use samples that are not hers. A retranscription of a subtle reality where things are suggested by sounds. Poetry is inevitable.
